What is C.A.T.E.S. Home School Co-op?

For those families who choose to Home School, we have a wonderful option. Under the auspices of C.A.T.E.S. Academy with the support of Dr. Paul Cates and our Leadership Team, we can help you C’s the moments with your child by providing the following services:


Cognitive Testing

The right curriculum for your child is like getting the right size for a shoe. We can provide the right testing to determine the right curriculum. For more information, click here.


Coaching Support

We can work with you on a consistent basis to help you be the best teacher that you desire to be. Our Coaching provides the optimum accountability and support. For more information, click here.


Class Opportunity

We welcome Home Schoolers to C.A.T.E.S. Academy on Tuesday and Thursday of each week. You and your child can be involved in the structured activities of the school day. For more on what a day looks like, click here.


C.A.T.E.S. after-School

All Home Schoolers can participate in our C.A.T.E.S. after-School programs, (and other activities as they arise). Our programs start at 2:00 and continue at 3:30 and 5:00. For more information, click here.

Dr. Paul Cates, leading authority on Cognitive Education and original author of the IEP, along with his son and colleague, Dr. Kirk Cates, evaluates every child and makes recommendations regarding curriculum and daily structure. Our trained staff consults with Dr. Cates on a consistent basis (sometimes daily) to ensure that each student is progressing.

C.A.T.E.S. Home School Co-op, a Division of C.A.T.E.S. Academy, is under the umbrella of Faith Christian Academy and is a member of TANAS (Tennessee Association of Non-Public Schools) and ACSI (Association of Christian Schools International).
